Gov Wike issues 1billion to support Flood victims in Rivers State
As Flood continued to cause people homeless and lose their shelter and valuables. Lokoja is case study. Reports reaching us, has that a lot resident has lot there home.
The people of Lokoja no longer go to their farms, as flood has covered the surface of their farm land, leaving them in an abject poverty.
Farmers in the North now complain about how there harvested goods get spoilt because flood has covered there major roads. So there is no way for them to transport their products to other parts of the state.
In Rivers State, Ahoada community precisely has been confirmed flood prone area. As victims were seen crying and calling on the state and federal Government to come to their aid.
As you may know, Gov Wike on Wednesday gave out 1 billion to support victims affected by flood.
In a statement Gov Nyesom Wike appointed Dr George Nwike as Chairman of the board to properly control and distribute the necessary items to all affected persons.
